Titilaka sits on a private peninsula on the south-eastern shore of Lake Titicaca near Acora in Peru’s Puno region, at nearly 4,000 metres, on four acres surrounded on three sides by the lake with two private beaches. It has 18 lake-facing rooms across four categories, from Explorer rooms to sunrise-facing Dawn, sunset-facing Dusk and dual-view Corner rooms with heated floors. Dining is fully inclusive, with Peruvian cuisine from chef Maria Fe Garcia in a main dining room and a well-stocked bar with a large regional wine cellar and 24-hour room service.
There is a single massage treatment room, and rather than a pool the water facilities are two private beaches, an overwater deck, boardwalks, a jetty and boats. Contemporary interiors feature local artisan craft, and around three-quarters of staff come from local villages. All-inclusive guided itineraries reach the Uros floating islands and Taquile, the Aymara route, Sillustani and nautical sports on the lake.
