Central America’s dry season, from around December to April, is generally the best time to visit, with more reliable conditions for wildlife, beaches and outdoor activities.

The green season, from around May to November, brings lush landscapes, fewer visitors and lower prices, though rainfall increases, particularly on the Caribbean coast, which follows its own pattern. Conditions can also differ between the Pacific and Caribbean sides.
