Raymond Blanc's Country Manor

In the Oxfordshire countryside, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is Raymond Blanc’s manor house hotel, known for its two-Michelin-starred restaurant, organic kitchen gardens and cookery school, with 32 individually designed rooms and suites.

A manor house built around food and gardens

Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel, is the country manor of chef Raymond Blanc, set in historic grounds in Great Milton, Oxfordshire. It is best known for its restaurant, which has held two Michelin stars since 1984 and also holds a Green Michelin Star for sustainability. The 32 rooms and suites are individually designed, drawing on Raymond Blanc’s travels, with several opening onto private gardens and terraces. The gardens are central to the experience, with a two-acre organic vegetable garden, a herb garden of more than seventy varieties, an orchard, a wildflower meadow and a Japanese tea garden, all open for daily tours. Alongside the restaurant sit a champagne bar, conservatory dining and a celebrated cookery school. Please note the hotel is currently closed for redevelopment and is due to reopen in 2027. It suits food-focused couples and friends who want a destination dining and gardens stay rather than a beach or city break.

Dining

Dining is the heart of Le Manoir. The restaurant, the vision of Raymond Blanc and chef Luke Selby, has held two Michelin stars since 1984 and a Green Michelin Star for its sustainability, with much of the produce grown in the gardens. L’Orangerie adds a conservatory setting for a more al fresco feel.

The Champagne Bar pours champagne, spirits and bar snacks, and lounge and in-room dining are also available. La Belle Epoque is a wood-panelled private dining room for larger occasions.
