Hotel B occupies a restored Belle Epoque mansion in the artsy Barranco district of Lima, steps from the Pacific, a Relais & Chateaux boutique hotel. It has rooms across three categories, from the standard Alcoba and junior-suite Aposento to the premium Atelier suites, spread across the 1914 mansion and a contemporary wing that was formerly an art gallery. Dining includes the Dining Room for contemporary Peruvian and international fusion from chef de cuisine Franco Hurtado, the ground-floor Bar, the Library for a signature breakfast and afternoon lonche tea, a courtyard patio, a deli and a rooftop terrace, with complimentary afternoon tea for guests.
Designed in 1914 by French architect Claude Sahut and reopened as a boutique hotel in 2013, it houses more than 300 original artworks with curator-led art tours and a B-Art shop, and offers in-room massage rather than a spa or pool. Experiences run from cocktail and cooking classes to art tours and trips to Pachacamac and colonial Lima. Lima’s only Relais & Chateaux, it suits art and design lovers and culture-focused couples and solo travellers who want a boutique live-like-a-local Barranco base.
